    Job Description

Are you an experienced nurse educator ready to take the next step in your academic career? Join ATS Institute of Technology’s Nursing School, a student-centered institution where education transforms lives and teaching excellence drives impact. Established in 1998, ATS has built its reputation on hands-on learning, innovative instruction, and an unwavering commitment to student achievement.

We are seeking a Senior Nursing Instructor to lead by example in the classroom, lab, and clinical settings. In this pivotal academic role, you will go beyond teaching by mentoring both students and other faculty, contributing to curriculum development, and upholding the highest standards of nursing education and professional practice.

This is an opportunity for an accomplished educator and clinician to shape the learning experience, influence program outcomes, and play a key role in preparing the next generation of nurses for licensure and lifelong success.

    Your Role

The Senior Nursing Instructor provides leadership in instructional excellence, curriculum delivery, and student success. You will design and deliver engaging, evidence-based instruction while modeling best practices in clinical judgment, ethics, and patient-centered care.

Working collaboratively with academic leadership, you will guide course alignment, mentor new faculty, and ensure that all instruction reflects current industry standards and regulatory requirements. Through mentorship and scholarly engagement, you’ll promote a culture of excellence that inspires both students and colleagues.

    Key Responsibilities

Lead Engaging Instruction: Deliver high-quality, student-centered learning experiences across classroom, lab, and clinical environments.

Mentor Faculty and Students: Provide guidance to junior faculty on teaching strategies, classroom management, and academic integrity while supporting student development and remediation.

Drive Academic Excellence: Contribute to curriculum evaluation and development to ensure course alignment with program and regulatory standards.

Support NCLEX Preparation: Ensure students demonstrate readiness through evidence-based instruction, simulation, and formative assessment.

Promote Professional Growth: Model lifelong learning and active participation in professional organizations and continuing education.

Collaborate for Success: Work closely with program leadership to uphold consistency, quality, and innovation across all areas of instruction.

    Why Join Us?

Lead with Purpose: Play a key role in shaping curriculum, mentoring faculty, and influencing program quality.

Academic Excellence: Be part of an institution that values innovation, evidence-based teaching, and measurable student outcomes.

Career Advancement: Gain leadership experience with opportunities to progress into academic management or program director roles.

Meaningful Impact: Experience the profound satisfaction of guiding both students and colleagues toward professional success.

    What We’re Looking For

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s or Doctorate in Nursing preferred.

Experience: Minimum of 5 years of professional experience as a Registered Nurse, including at least 3 years of teaching experience in nursing education.

Licensure: Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois.

    Attributes:

Proven track record of teaching excellence and student success.

    Strong leadership and mentoring abilities.

Deep understanding of curriculum design and assessment.

Commitment to collaboration, innovation, and academic integrity.

At ATS Institute of Technology, we believe our instructors deserve the same level of dedication and care that they give to their students. We’re proud to offer a benefits package that supports your well-being, professional development, and long-term success:

Comprehensive Health, Dental, and Vision Coverage designed to support your well-being so you can continue supporting others.

401(k) with Employer Match to help you plan for your future with confidence.

Tuition Reimbursement and Continuing Education Opportunities to invest in your professional growth and keep your skills at the forefront of nursing education.

Dedicated Paid Time Off including vacation, personal, and sick days for balance and rejuvenation.

Paid Holidays to enjoy well-deserved time with loved ones.

Mission-Driven Work where your expertise directly shapes the next generation of nurses and advances the quality of patient care.
