POSITION SUMMARY: White River Marine Group is seeking a Sourcing Agent responsible for executing sourcing activities for materials and components supporting multiple boat brands across our manufacturing network. This role supports sourcing strategies, manages supplier relationships, and drives cost effectiveness of direct materials.
The Sourcing Agent works closely with engineering, quality, manufacturing, procurement, and suppliers to ensure a reliable, cost-effective, and high-quality supply chain. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Supplier Management: Strengthen relationships with current suppliers. Discover, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers.
Cost Management: Maintain system costs at high level of accuracy.
- Identify cost savings opportunities with an eye toward quality and delivery performance.
Negotiation: Negotiate contracts, pricing, and payment terms while maintaining WRMG
requirements:
for cost, quality, delivery and service. Market Analysis: Requires an awareness of market trends, commodity and material prices, and global developments – leading to informed decisions. Quality: Collaborate with suppliers, engineering, and quality team to ensure materials and components meet WRMG quality standards.
- Reporting: Prepare reports on sourcing activities, supplier performance, commodities, and market conditions for management review.
Problem Resolution: Resolve issues related to supply chain disruptions, supplier performance or material quality.
