Join Kama‘aina Kids, Hawai‘i’s largest locally owned and operated non-profit, and help make after-school the best part of every child’s day. As an After School Recreation Leader, you’ll guide keiki through hands-on activities, games, and creative projects that encourage teamwork, learning, and laughter.

Who We’re Looking For
You bring energy, positivity, and a genuine love for kids. Maybe you’ve coached youth sports, volunteered at school events, or just have a natural way of connecting with children. You’re creative, reliable, and know how to make learning fun.
No childcare experience? No problem!
We provide all the training you’ll need. This role is great for:
College students studying education, psychology, or related fields
Anyone exploring a meaningful, purpose-driven career with kids
What You’ll Need
High School Diploma or GED (high school seniors may apply for aide positions)
A caring attitude and commitment to helping keiki thrive
If you’re energetic, reliable, and love working with children, this is your chance to make a lasting impact—one after-school adventure at a time.
Schedule
Monday–Friday | Approx. 1:45–5:30 PM
Early release Wednesdays start at 12:30 PM
No weekends. No late nights. No lesson plans at home.
