Description
SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Special Events Manager, the Magical Forest Associate is responsible for performing a variety of duties in an amusement park, retail type environment. The incumbent will operate point of sale equipment, amusement and food concessions, rides, and general responsibilities that involve physical handling of products, materials, supplies, credit cards and currency. The Magical Forest Associate is also responsible for training and assisting nightly volunteers with their assigned park operations duties. There are evening hours and weekend responsibilities with this position that may require extended hours.

This is a seasonal position from approximately November 2025 to January 2026, utilized to support the Magical Forest.
Qualifications
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide information about park attractions, facilities, rides, entertainment options, and rules or regulations of the Magical Forest to both guests and volunteers.
Understand and accurately operate point-of sale equipment in box office, food concessions, midway, and merchandise booths, as well as train selected nightly volunteers with the procedures and the operation of cashless point-of-sale equipment, the selling of food or merchandise, and the operation of midway games, including awarding the proper prizes, as needed.
Understand and accurately operate ticket and voucher scanning equipment, as well as, train selected nightly park entrance volunteers to properly greet and welcome guests, scan, verify, collect, or validate different ticket types, and distribute park maps, goody bags, vouchers, informational flyers, or wristbands, as needed.
Provide guests and volunteers with information and assistance regarding safely entering or exiting rides or mounting or dismounting carousel animals.
Provide excellent customer service to patrons.
Be knowledgeable of park emergency evacuation and ride shut down procedures and assist with these procedures, if a situation arises.
Clean equipment, rides, booths, and concession areas at the end of each night.
Maintain an orderly and clean work area in compliance with company safety and sanitation requirements.
Report any maintenance or items in need of repair to the Special Events Manager.
Ensure compliance with regulatory and company policies and procedures.
Report suspected Abuse, Neglect, Exploitation, Isolation, and Abandonment (ANEIA) immediately, as mandated by state law.
May be assigned other duties as needed.
SKILLS REQUIRED
Ability to communicate effectively with guests, individuals, OV team members, and supervisors (verbal and written).

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent
Required: One (1) year of verifiable work experience in an amusement or theme park, retail or related work environment.
Preferred: Prior experience with developmentally disabled individuals.
