Department Department of Environmental Management Division Environmental Services Salary $17.50 - $18.00 Job Profile JC-09140024-99 - Park Ranger III (Non-Union Executive Branch) Scheduled Work Days & Work Hours 2026 Department of Environmental Management (DEM) SEASONAL PROGRAM The State annually employs qualified responsible individuals in a variety of positions with the State's Parks, Beaches, Research Programs, and Administrative Offices during a specific limited period.

, availability, and willingness to travel to the assigned location (s). Many of the classifications have a three-step pay-grade. An employee in any of these classifications is paid at the first step during his or her first season. An employee returning to the same three-step classification for a second season is paid at the second step during that season.
An employee to the same three-step classification for a third or subsequent session is paid at the third step during that season. Opening Date February 12, 2026 Closing Date November 19, 2026 Job Requisition Number JR101106 PARK RANGER III (Evergreen) (Open) Pay Grade C40232 G Classification Park Ranger III Class Definition A level III Park Ranger serves as the Ranger shift supervisor and is responsible for administrative duties as set forth by the Regional Park Manager and/or Division of Parks & Recreation.
Level III Rangers are responsible for completing reporting forms and documenting procedures used in daily operations.
- Responsible for reviewing all reports regarding activity on assigned shifts for accuracy, spelling, neatness, and composition.
Level III Rangers are responsible for all equipment and personnel assigned under their supervision. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age.
