    Job Description

    About the opportunity

SWCA Environmental Consultants is seeking a new Assistant Project-Level Environmental Planner. We offer remote, hybrid, and in-office work options. As a valuable member of the team, you will support our growing group of scientists and partner directly with senior Environmental Professionals to prepare Phase I Environmental Site Assessment (ESA) reports in support of utility-scale renewable energy projects nationwide. Responsibilities will include writing ASTM-standard Phase I ESAs, collecting data, conducting landowner interviews, providing guidance to field staff, and preparing report figures. Fieldwork is limited and may include site assessments and data collection for local sites. In this position, you will be trained to actively support projects and clients from site planning to post-construction. Responsibilities will include assisting with data interpretation and tabulations, as well as scientific report writing (ASTM Phase I Environmental Site Assessments). These projects occur concurrently with biological and cultural resources investigations and you will interact with those teams as well. This position is an hourly, full-time, benefits-eligible position.

Purpose: Our company purpose is to preserve natural and cultural resources for tomorrow while enabling projects that benefit people today. You are invited to be a part of our success story.

Application deadline: Our team will begin reviewing applications immediately, and interviews will be scheduled with qualified candidates on a rolling basis. The application process will remain open until we have received a robust pool of qualified candidates. Once we have identified suitable individuals, we may close the application process without prior notice. We appreciate the time and effort invested by all applicants and will carefully consider each submission.
