This isn’t just a ropes job — it’s your chance to lead a dynamic team, design impactful challenge course experiences, and help campers build confidence, courage, and character at 8,700 feet in the Rockies.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and supervise the entire Ropes Program — staff, facilities, equipment, and daily operations
- Train and mentor ropes staff to deliver safe, high-quality programming
- Oversee low and high ropes activities in compliance with ACA, YMCA, and Colorado Child Care Licensing standards
Partner with camp leadership to integrate ropes into the full camp experience
- Ensure challenge course areas are safe, maintained, and adventure-ready
Serve as a key administrator and support overnight camp operations
You’ll be the go-to leader for all challenge course activities — setting the tone for safety, excellence, and growth.
What We’re Looking For 21+ years old with youth camp experience
Proven supervisory and leadership skills
CPR/First Aid certified (or willing to obtain)
ACCT Level 1 or 2 Facilitator certification (YMCA approved vendor)
Strong organizational and communication skills
Passion for mentoring staff and helping campers thrive
Bonus if you’re bilingual (English/Spanish) and able to operate YMCA vehicles.
