Woodruff Arts Center employees play an integral role in creating and supporting great art and education initiatives at the nation’s third largest arts center. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
- Actively assists camp staff and participates in all aspects of the campers’ days.
- Responsible for assisting assigned Camp Teaching Artist with implementation of approved camp lesson plans.
- Helps establish a positive museum experience for children and their families through professional and friendly interactions.
- Responsible for a group of up to 25 children on a daily basis, including in the workshops, galleries, and on the Woodruff campus.
- Greets children and caregivers at carpool drop-off and pick-up.
- Ensures all students enter the building and arrive at the correct classroom safely.
- Helps to ensure children’s safety, manages children’s behavior, and acts as a role model and mentor.
- Responsible for setting up classroom for each week’s/day’s activities.
- Responsible for check-in and check-out and attendance of classroom each day.
- Responsible for assisting with post-class cleanup.
- Responsible for monitoring, unpacking, and preparation of supplies for summer camp classrooms/workshops.
- Sets a good example for campers in all areas, including cleanliness, punctuality, clean-up, rules, and sportsmanship.
- Communicates with Manager of Family Programs and Camp Leader all relevant concerns, issues, updates, and/or challenges.
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Ability to pass a background check.
Minimum – high school diploma or GED.
Experience working with children required.
