Brevard College seeks an enthusiastic teacher and administrator at the Associate Professor or Professor level to lead the Social Science Division of the College, which includes programs in Business, Organizational Leadership, Wilderness/Outdoor Leadership, Criminal Justice, and Psychology.
This tenure track position requires a terminal degree in a Social Science field (Business, Criminal Justice, Psychology or Sociology) and evidence of administrative experience or potential for academic leadership.
Division Chair responsibilities include oversight, supervision, and evaluation of all Social Science faculty, including adjunct faculty, class scheduling, and strategic planning for the division. The Social Science Division Chair is a member of the Academic Leadership Team and reports directly to the Vice President for Academic Affairs and Dean of the Faculty. Division Chairs teach half of a normal, 24-credit-hour teaching load in their discipline and receive credit for half of the 24-credit-hour teaching load for administrative duties.
