Position Summary:

American Bird Conservancy (ABC) and the Central Hardwoods Joint Venture (CHJV) seek to fill one Birdscape Coordinator position for the Southern Indiana Cerulean Warbler Birdscape (SICWB). The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and contributing to Birdscape planning and implementation and carrying out the decisions of the SICWB Executive Leadership Team in cooperation with conservation partners. The Coordinator will be the local face of the Birdscape, advocating for the Birdscape by building relationships with the local community, landowners, and conservation partners. In addition to Cerulean Warbler, the Coordinator will implement Birdscape management practices that will benefit other priority songbirds, gamebirds such as Wild Turkey and American Woodcock, and other wildlife species. The Coordinator will also be expected to participate in prescribed fires with partner organizations. The position will report to the CHJV Coordinator and receive strategic guidance from the SICWB Executive Leadership Team, consisting of agency, nonprofit, and academic personnel that direct the SICWB.
