About

For over 20 years, I have worked as a technical climber and outdoor educator, with 15 years specifically dedicated to route development. My professional background includes serving as a rock and ice climbing instructor for the University of Alaska Anchorage and working as a professional climber for the State of Alaska. In addition to technical instruction, I have extensive experience managing group logistics and safety for international youth expeditions. This includes leading high school students through the Botswana backcountry and hiking trips in San Jose Del Pacifico, Mexico. I am also an established publisher and author of 15 books, including the primary rock, ice, and bouldering guidebooks for Alaska. My qualifications are rounded out by maritime training as a certified Powerboat Level 2 with current STCW certification. I offer a versatile skill set that combines high-level vertical expertise, international guiding experience, and professional project management.
