Job Description
Come join our energetic, caring, and responsible staff in our day camps as a camp counselor. The ideal candidate will be available to work Monday-Friday with varying hours. Depending on which camp you work, the days are Monday-Friday or M/W/F. Typical hours range from 4-8 hours.
This seasonal position runs June 8-August 7, with required training taking place the week of June 1st. Minimum age is 16 years old

Essential Job Duties:
- Assists in creating an activity agenda for the day camp group for which the employee is directly responsible
- Assists in organizing and structuring large and small group activities
Sets up and participates in day camp activities Cleans up after activities and at the end of the day
- Maintains head counts of campers in the morning, at swim times, and throughout the day
Supervises campers and is present on the pool deck and in the water during swim times
- Enforces safety rules during day camp activities
Notifies the Day Camp Site Director and Day Camp Assistant Site Director of problems or concerns with individual campers or staff members Administers first aid to staff and campers, as needed
Skills and Qualifications:
Must be at least 16 years old at the start of the Day Camp program. Previous experience in child care or supervising children's activities preferred. Strong customer service skills and ability to interact effectively with children, coworkers, and the public. Ability to work as part of a team, follow directions, and complete tasks independently.
Capable of maintaining composure in high-activity and emergency situations; CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
