Human Resources Assistant

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent and required related field experience preferred. 1-2 years of administrative experience; HR experience is a plus. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and HRIS systems.

Nice Haves:

Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

Experience with Paylocity.:

Manufacturing experience. Work Environment This position operates within a family-owned business that values continuous improvement, mutual respect, and servant leadership. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM. The role requires working at the front desk, being the first point of contact for visitors. The environment is fast-paced and demanding, with occasional overtime depending on workload. Responsibilities:

• Assist with the recruitment process by posting job openings, reviewing resumes, and coordinating interviews.
• Support new hire onboarding, including preparing offer letters, new hire paperwork, and orientation materials.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and files.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, employment laws, and HR procedures.

Respond to internal and external HR-related inquiries or requests and provide assistance.

• Assist with payroll processing by collecting and verifying timekeeping information as needed.
• Schedule meetings, interviews, HR events, and maintain calendars for the HR team.
• Process and track employee changes such as promotions, terminations, and leaves of absence.
• Assist with benefits administration and open enrollment periods.
• Support special projects and initiatives within the HR department.

Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Machesney Park, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
