Cafe Cook

POSITION SUMMARY: The Cafe Cook prepares food items to be served in the Clearwater Café, a Cafeteria serving employees at Bass Pro Shops Corporate Headquarters in Springfield, MO. This individual will prep food to be used in recipes or served on the salad bar, prepare food to be served during breakfast and lunch, and serve food during the lunch meal period.

This will all be done while ensuring adherence to food safety principles and regulations. The cafe cook works in all areas of the kitchen including the grill, deli sandwiches counter, pizza/pasta station, and salad area. This role requires flexibility, multitasking, and an attitude for excellent customer service.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Prepares and cooks various items according to the weekly menu. Cleans, cuts, and prepares fruits and vegetables to be used in recipes and for the salad bar. Completes tasks outlined by daily prep list and the Chef’s instructions. Apportions and serves food to customers (employees & guests) in a safe manner.

• Ensures the cleanliness and organization of equipment and work area by routinely cleaning and inspecting throughout shift.

Complies with FDA and local food safety guidelines.
