    Job Description

    POSITION SUMMARY: The Dockmaster gives daily direction to the outfitters in the Marina directing merchandise presentation, inventory control, pricing, sales enhancements, stocking, customer service activities.

    • Maintains working relationship with the onsite charter captains and enforces marina rules and regulations set forth by management.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Collects slip rental from Marina Captains and notifies senior management of arrears. Accountability to maintain accurate charge accounts and invoices monthly. Solicits new Captains to the Marina if there is an available slip Assuring that we have accurate and up to date records of vessel registration, Captains Merchant Mariner license, Liability insurance, and credentials of other captains that operate their vessel Billing of invoices to Base Camp or via Coupa for timely payment to local vendors Supports GM/AGM in achievement of Departmental Sales, Gross Margin, Inventory Shrinkage and Payroll Goals.

    • Provides daily direction to the outfitters within the marina.

    Collects, fills out, submits, and maintains records dealing with multiple types of deliveries and programs on a company/local/state/federal level.

    • Maintains safety and proper maintenance of fuel storage and pumping systems.
    • Prepares and ensures the completion of to-do/task lists.
    • Ensures timely ordering and delivery from outside vendors, to include but not limited to live and frozen bait, fuel, beer, soda, and ice.

    Supervises the maintenance of the live bait holding systems.

    • Maintains up-to-date reservations for transient dockage.
    • Ensures maintenance requests are filled out, submitted and tracks to completion.
    • Ensure a pleasant and productive shopping

    experience:

    for all customers.

    • Responsible for departmental staffing, participates in interviewing and makes recommendations for selection; coordinates training; consults with GSM and gives input on preparation of performance appraisals; prepares weekly work schedules; coaches and motivates associates to promote positive customer relations and a productive team-oriented work environment.
    • Resolves customer and associate opportunities with GM/AGM.
    • Maintains a high level of personal Customer Service; strives to achieve better than Company average customer service results.

    Remains Product “expert” through ongoing product knowledge training; conducts product demos to entire staff.

    • Assists the GM/AGM with: Coordination of all “Special Events”; maintenance of pricing and UPC integrity; determining proper assortments; accuracy of inventory; proper display, signing and pricing of all advertised items.

    In collaboration with AGM/GM carry out supervisory

    responsibilities:

    in accordance with the Company’s policies and applicable laws, including: interviewing, training, planning, assigning and directing work, measuring and evaluating performance, addressing complaints and resolving problems, maintaining a positive, harassment free working environment for all associates.

    Minimum Degree Required: High School Diploma or equivalent
