Steward, Part Time

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Steward properly clean, store and maintain all washable items within a sanitary and safe working environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Operates dishwashing equipment to ensure adequate supplies of clean and sanitary tableware at all times.

• Maintains personal hygiene and sanitation standards as established by Health Department.
• Follows proper food storage, handling and preparation standards.
• Adheres to established Ecosure standards.
• Maintains a clean and safe work environment through regular floor maintenance, trash removal, proper storage of equipment and cleaning of Dish area prior to the end of each shift.
• Handles and uses chemicals needed to clean and sanitize tableware in a safe manner.

Complete all training requirements.

ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED.:

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma/GED preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:

Experience in and passion for consumer service:

Willingness to learn new skills and be a team player An attitude of flexibility and mindfulness about the team approach Clean and clear service areas

• Follow proper procedures as disclosed in Standard Operating Procedures as explained to staff

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Regular walking, standing, lifting up to 50lbs, bending, stooping, climbing, etc.

INDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT:

• Performs tasks and duties under direct supervision, using well-defined policies and procedures. Work is reviewed by supervisor. Limited opportunity exists for exercising independent judgment and decision making.
