    Cosmetologist Location: Soothe Spa at The Grand Lodge on Peak 7 Position Type: Full-Time/Part-Time Non-Exempt Compensation: $16.00/hr. + Commission + Gratuities

    • Schedule: Saturdays - Tuesdays 9:30-5:30

    Compensation: $50 – $80+ per hour depending on the specific treatment provided. *Includes $16/hr. wage + avg. commission + typical tips during hands-on time.*

    If you're ready to take your cosmetology skills to new heights (literally, at 9,600 feet!), we'd love to welcome you to our celebrated spa team.

    Responsibilities:

    • Conduct thorough consultations to customize each guest's experience
    • Recommend and sell spa retail products with expert knowledge

    Upsell services and promote spa packages/promotions

    • Maintain impeccable hygiene standards (sanitize tools/workspaces between guests)

    Restock treatment rooms with linens, products, and supplies

    • Handle laundry disposal and maintain clean common areas

    Accurately document guest preferences and service details

    • Manage email correspondence and timekeeping via UKG system
    • Participate in sustainability initiatives (recycling, conservation)

    Uphold "End of the Line" problem-solving philosophy Attend training sessions and team meetings

    • Adhere to uniform standards and professional appearance guidelines

    Requirements:

    Active Colorado Cosmetologist License (DORA) Certificate from accredited US cosmetology school Proficiency in manicures/pedicures (natural & gel) Knowledge of facial treatments and waxing Ability to sanitize tools per state regulations Strong guest consultation skills Basic computer literacy (email, timekeeping via Paylocity)

    Physical ability to sit for extended periods and lift 25 lbs.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    6+ months in an upscale spa/resort environment

    Experience with body treatments (scrubs, wraps):

    Expertise in advanced nail techniques (e.g., nail art, paraffin) Retail sales experience with spa product lines Fluency in Spanish or other languages (for diverse guest needs) Passion for sustainability practices in spa operations Flexibility for peak seasons, weekends, and holidays
