CACI is currently looking for a Gen AI Developer to join our BEAGLE (Border Enforcement Applications for Government Leading-Edge Information Technology) Agile Solution Factory (ASF) Team supporting Customs and Border Control (CBP) client located in Northern Virginia! Join this passionate team of industry-leading individuals supporting the best practices in Agile Software Development for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).
As a member of the BEAGLE ASF Team, you will support the men and women charged with safeguarding the American people and enhancing the Nation’s safety, security, and prosperity. CBP agents and officers are on the front lines, every day, protecting our national security by combining customs, immigration, border security, and agricultural protection into one coordinated and supportive activity.

You will excel at developing innovative software solutions as part of a technically diverse and geographically disbursed team. A strong passion for AI technologies and experience with agile delivery and deploying software in short sprints.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the design, development, and implementation of software solutions supporting AI/ML pilots and proof-of-concept projects.
- Participate as a member of cross-functional Agile delivery teams, contributing to prototyping, testing, and deployment of working applications.
- Support integration of applications with AI/ML models, data pipelines, and analytics platforms under guidance of senior developers and data scientists.
- Help analyze technical requirements and contribute to solutions using modern frameworks and cloud tools.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily standups, sprint reviews/demos, retrospectives, and backlog refinement.
Write, review, and maintain clean, well-documented code following established best practices.
- Collaborate with team members across distributed locations to meet sprint and project milestones.
Stay current on emerging AI technologies, development tools, and industry best practices.
Qualifications:

Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to pass CBP background investigation, criteria include, but not limited to:
3-year check for felony convictions year check for illegal drug use year check for misconduct such as theft or fraud Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related field (equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of degree). 0–3 years of professional software development experience, internships, or relevant academic project work.
Foundational knowledge of modern front-end frameworks (React or Angular preferred). Working experience or coursework involving Python, Java, JavaScript, or TypeScript. Basic experience with SQL and/or NoSQL databases. Familiarity with RESTful APIs, data formats (JSON), and basic API integration concepts.
Exposure to cloud services (AWS or Google Cloud) and understanding of application deployment fundamentals. Introductory experience with version control tools (Git) and Agile development workflows. Basic understanding of DevSecOps or CI/CD concepts. Strong analytical skills with the ability to learn quickly and follow technical guidance to solve problems.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while progressing toward independent task execution. Willingness to work a hybrid schedule with some on-site presence in Ashburn, VA. - ________________________________________________________________________________________

Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:
$72,700 - $149,200:
