Job Details Job Location: Springer Cultural Center - Champaign, IL 61821 Position Type: Part-time Salary Range: $18.00 - $28.00 Hourly Art Instructor Champaign Park District – Part-Time 2, Non-Exempt (not to exceed 19 hours per week on average)

The Art Instructor plays a key role in delivering engaging, high-quality classes in their medium of expertise for participants of all ages. This role allows you to make a direct impact in the community by creating positive learning experiences while representing the Champaign Park District with professionalism and enthusiasm.
Summary of Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and lead instructional classes following approved curricula and schedules
- Develop and submit program outlines at least two weeks prior to class start
- Assist with class descriptions for promotional materials
- Maintain accurate attendance, program documentation, and incident/accident reports
- Communicate schedules, changes, and cancellations clearly and timely to participants
- Create and maintain a clean, organized, and safe instructional environment
Purchase, maintain, and ensure safe use of program supplies and equipment
- Build positive relationships with participants, parents, staff, and the public
Distribute and complete program and instructor evaluations as requested Attend required meetings, trainings, and professional development sessions
- Follow all safety, confidentiality, equal opportunity, and harassment prevention policies
- Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years of age
- Demonstrated knowledge and skill in the medium being taught
Ability to plan and lead age-appropriate instructional activities Prior instructional or teaching experience Ability to communicate effectively and maintain positive working relationships with Park District staff, participants, and the public Ability to comply with Park District policies and procedures
Required certifications relevant to the medium of expertise, if applicable (may be required prior to hire or obtained after hire)
