Park Maintenance I
PART TIME - SEASONAL:
HOURLY RATE: $15/Hour DOE
The City of Fredericksburg is seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a Part Time – Seasonal Park Maintenance I employee. If you enjoy working outdoors and contributing to the beautification of our community, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform general semi-skilled laboring tasks in grounds keeping for parks and public facilities.
Mow grass, landscape, and carry out custodial duties. Operate a variety of hand and power equipment.
- Deliver and set up equipment for various City events and programs.
Complete work order and daily report paperwork.
- Assist with storm debris clean-up operations as needed.
Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years of age. Valid Virginia Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with co-workers, supervisory staff, and customers. Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including holidays, weekends, some evenings, and fluctuating shifts based on park needs and scheduled events.
