Job Description
This position is designated as a hybrid role based out of our headquarters near Portland, Oregon. The current expectation is for employees to work onsite four days per week, subject to change based on business needs. This in-office requirement may be adjusted at the discretion of the company. Apparel Textile Production Artist Job Summary As our Textile Production Artist, you will collaborate with the Apparel Textile Design team to translate print and yarn-dye artwork into development packages for fabric mills.
This role requires strong technical
skills:
in creating repeats, color separations, and artwork packages, combined with organizational ability and calendar awareness to meet seasonal deadlines. You’ll ensure designs are producible, troubleshoot artwork issues, and participate in strike-off reviews to maintain quality and accuracy.
Responsibilities:
- Create textile artwork production packages and schematics, including repeats and color separations.
- Collaborate with cross functional partners to ensure designs meet specifications.
- Troubleshoot artwork and production issues; propose alternative printing or color techniques as needed.
- Participate in strike-off review and approval; track incoming strike-offs and manage seasonal tracker.
- Provide input on department processes and best practices for efficiency and first-time-right outcomes.
- Support department training and create visual tools for design waypoints.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
experience:
in apparel design, fabric arts, graphic design, or related field. 2–4 years in design/apparel industry with prior textile artwork production
experience:
Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop; strong repeat creation and color separation
skills:
Ability to review strike-off colorways against standards; strong organizational and communication
skills:
