ABOUT:
THE POSITION The Senior Credit Analyst plays a critical role within Columbia Sportswear’s Credit organization, supporting financial decision‑making for our North American wholesale business. This position partners closely with Credit leadership to evaluate financial risk, analyze customer financial statements, support collections and reconciliation activities, and lead the resolution of complex deductions and disputes.

, and the ability to manage sensitive financial information accurately and independently. HOW YOU’LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE Credit Evaluation & Financial Analysis Identify and manage credit
requirements:
for key strategic and higher‑risk wholesale accounts.
- Perform detailed financial analyses, synthesizing large data sets into clear, actionable recommendations.
- Conduct credit reviews using financial analysis tools to assess customer financial statements, credit bureau data, and related information.
- Recommend appropriate credit lines and present findings to Credit leadership.
- Reporting & Forecasting Prepare and approve monthly management reports covering aging, reserves, potential bad debt, forecasts, and trend analysis.
- Develop and refine reporting tools to support departmental needs, including DSO and cash forecasting.
Apply industry knowledge and economic trends to anticipate credit impacts and inform decision‑making. Cross-Functional Collaboration Build strong working relationships with Sales, Customer Service, Retail Services, Traffic, Accounting, and Shared Services. Tailor communication to varied audiences and support alignment between revenue goals and credit risk strategy.
Collections, Deductions & Dispute Resolution Lead the timely and accurate reconciliation of customer deductions, disputes, chargebacks, and related claims.
- Investigate payment discrepancies, determine validity, and coordinate cross‑functional resolution.
- Identify root causes of credit and operational issues and recommend improvements.
- Leadership & Continuous Improvement Participate in departmental initiatives, ad hoc projects, and process‑improvement efforts.
Engage in third‑party credit groups, webinars, conferences, and ongoing professional development. YOU ARE Analytical and skilled at interpreting financial information and identifying trends. Detail focused, demonstrating accuracy, organization, and thoroughness in all work. A strong communicator who can translate complex financial insights for cross‑functional partners.
Proactive and self‑directed, capable of moving work forward with minimal supervision. Collaborative and able to build productive relationships with stakeholders across departments. YOU HAVE Advanced knowledge of credit and collection techniques, policies, and analysis. Strong ability to interpret financial statements and credit reports.
Well‑developed analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making
skills:
High proficiency with spreadsheets and business systems; SAP
experience:
preferred. A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field, or equivalent
experience:
At least 5 years of credit and collections
