    I. SUMMARY OF POSITION: Helps facilitate the conservation program working with members, Bonneville Power Administration and other utilities to ultimately use conservation as a resource. Markets conservation programs to members and contractors to engage members and ensure they are aware of conservation programs and opportunities. Helps provide energy audits for members working with various agencies and vendors. Performs Member Services activities to include answering phones, taking payments, updating account information, setting up or transferring services, and may assist with other departmental needs on an as needed basis. Serves members with day-to-day patronage capital requests and helps coordinate the allocation and payout of capital credits. May assist with work order closeouts.

    II.

    DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES (End Results Expected):

    1. Markets and meets with members and contractors on conservation projects to explain utility conservation programs and engage members. 2.

    • Determines qualifying projects and monitors progress, including onsite inspections.

    3.

    • Establishes rebate amounts for member’s projects.

    4. Is responsible for documentation and reports of energy savings projects and rebates. Maintains appropriate files and documentation for conservation programs to meet Bonneville Power Administration requirements. 5.

    • Resolves member/customer high bill concerns by determining the problem, explaining the process and procedures and if necessary, referring to appropriate personnel.

    6. Serves member/customer by answering phones, service requests, answering questions, and offering assistance to residential, commercial, agricultural and industrial members/consumers to identify conservation needs.

    DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES (Continued):

    • Assists members with patronage capital inquiries, payout requests and processes the annual general retirement of patronage capital.

    8. Will assist the Member Service department on a regular basis with electric and propane members/customers by taking service requests, answering questions, processing payments, account updates, and offering assistance.

    9.

    • Conducts oneself in such a manner as to contribute a better understanding of the Cooperative when in contact with members or the general public, as well as maintain a harmonious relationship with all Cooperative personnel.

    10. Keep current on energy efficiency development through participation in training, seminars, meetings, etc. 11.

    • Ensures conservation information is clear, current, and helpful for members.

    12. May prepare and conduct annual irrigation, commercial and industrial member meetings as deemed appropriate. 13. May assist other departments including Accounting with work orders or others as assigned. 14.

    • Maintains a safe working environment by adhering to policies, procedures, and regulations.

    15.

    • Perform other duties as assigned by Department Manager.

    III.:

    INTERPERSONAL SKILLS:

    Must have pleasing personality, and be able to tactfully and cheerfully communicate with the membership, general public and fellow employees. Must plan, coordinate, and be able to clearly present conservation information to groups of members or contractors.

    IV.

    COMMUNICATIONS:

    ORAL: Must possess good communication skills to effectively express oneself to member/customers, contractors and third-party companies or other agencies and all level of employees. WRITTEN: Ability to communicate knowledge and ideas with clearness, effectiveness, and ease. V.

    SCHEDULING AND PLANNING:

    Must be self-motivated to ensure all project deadlines are met, and multiple tasks are handled simultaneously. VI.

    BASIC JOB REQUIREMENTS:

    EDUCATION: High School Diploma or equivalent education. EXPERIENCE: Prefer some related billing or accounting experience. OTHER SKILLS: Must have knowledge of conservation requirements. VII.

    EQUIPMENT OPERATED:

    Telephone, adding machine, personal computer, and software including specialized programs.

    VIII.:

    WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

    Office and field.
