    Job Details Job Location: Rush Creek Lodge - Yosemite National Park, CA 95321 Position Type: Full Time Salary Range: $23.00 - $23.00 Hourly Rush Creek Lodge is looking for an engaging Assistant Spa Manager to join the team and create a welcoming, professional, and clean environment for our guests. The ideal candidate is passionate about wellness and brings a warm and positive attitude to the Wellness Spa team. The Assistant Spa Manager engages with guests and staff throughout their shift, which requires the ability to provide direction as well as attentive, caring guest service. The Assistant Manager is responsible for a variety of tasks that help support the spa workflow by working with and overseeing the spa team. The Assistant Manager assists and oversees Wellness Desk Attendants in scheduling appointments, describing treatments, checking-in guests, collecting payments, ordering and serving food, providing spa tours, and assisting guests with retail purchases. The Assistant Manager is also responsible for maintenance of and cleaning of the spa, which includes hands-on execution and oversight, as well as communicating needs to appropriate departments and teams. The Assistant Manager also plays a key role in engaging with our guests and enriching their experience through exceptional hospitality, as well as inspiring guests to continue their Wellness journey when they head home.

    Qualifications:

    Essential functions/Key Responsibilities Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions. Directly provide and ensure our spa team provides exceptional, caring hospitality

    • Manage all Wellness Desk Attendants and Wellness Public Attendants

    Work safely and supervise others to avoid injuries and accidents, including wearing proper Personal Protective Equipment

    • Assist with guest check-ins for spa appointments

    Finalize payments for Spa services Seek feedback from guests to gauge and improve their experience

    • Oversee and audit guest scheduling to maximize guest usage and accommodation
    • Assist with answering phones and scheduling appointments

    Audit emails from guests and respond to all guest correspondence

    • Develop service and product knowledge, and train staff in both

    Promote spa services and retail goods and teach staff to do so as well

    • Oversee and assist with ongoing and daily cleaning tasks

    Remove slip hazards on wet room floor Clean restrooms and guest areas Vacuum or sweep carpet Stock paper products, restrooms, towels Empty garbage receptacles, dirty towel bins Clean lockers and keep storage areas tidy When finding unsafe conditions and maintenance concerns, address them immediately by contacting others as needed and/or submitting Maintenance Service Requests

    Move quietly throughout treatment areas, including hallways, opening and closing doors, and wet room When opportunities arise, support interns in our Internship Program to help them be most successful in their work and at the lodge Supervise staff to ensure professional language and demeanor are used at all times

    Attend Wellness Desk Attendant, Wellness Spa, and Manager meetings as required

    • Manage payroll and assist with scheduling
    • Assist with other lodge needs as may arise from time to time
    • Manage daily labor

    Competencies/Required Skills and Abilities Prior supervisory experience preferred Organizational skills

    Able to promote and sell spa services and products Attention to detail Able to follow instructions accurately Able to smile and provide warm, heartfelt hospitality to guests Able to answer guest questions and give appropriate guidance Able to meet consistent attendance requirements and comply with schedules/breaks

    Able to communicate well and professionally with colleagues and supervisors Excited about creating a warm, family atmosphere for guests and staff while maintaining high standards High Integrity Mature and personable with a relaxed nature

    • Leading a healthy, drug-free lifestyle

    Dynamic, fun, and likes the outdoors Flexible with a “whatever it takes” attitude Able to work independently or with a team as needed Computer proficiency or ability to learn required programs Able to sell and upsell products and packages to guests Supervisory responsibilities

    • Train staff in Wellness Spa procedures, services, product and programs

    Navigate through staff and guest issues/conflict Take necessary steps to ensure exceptional guest service & hospitality Respond immediately to any unsafe condition Work environment/physical demands The physical environment requires the employee to work both inside and outsider in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions

    Frequent walking, twisting, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, sitting, climbing stairs Ability to stand and move continuously Lifting up to 50 pounds maximum Stocking, vacuuming, sweeping and mopping floors, and cleaning toilets/bathrooms Working with required chemicals Shifts of up to 8 hours per day, plus periodic additional overtime hours

    Details Full time position available immediately 40 hours of paid time off per year Healthcare benefits available after 90 days 401K eligible with company match after 1 year Regular schedule with specific days off will be established Room and board available for fixed weekly cost both onsite and offsite
