About:
the role We are looking for a substitute/as-needed (number of hours working depends on demand and scheduling) Lead Youth Camp Counselor to join the team at the Advocate Condell Centre Club, managed by HealthFitness in Libertyville, IL! Responsible for leading, supporting, engaging, and motivating youth in activity programs.
Will assist in developing youth programs and leading and mentoring program participants. Key Accountabilities Enthusiastically lead and support participants through program activities.
- Monitor participants to ensure compliance with rules, prevent accidents, and identify inappropriate behaviors.
Proactively address and deescalate inappropriate behavior.
- Provide corrective direction to help participants learn appropriate actions and to make positive behavioral choices.
- Work with program coordinator and program staff to plan and coordinate activities.
- Maintain, clean and ensure proper use of facilities and equipment.
Supervise children ranging from ages [insert age range if applicable]. Clean up after the children every shift. Play games and other activities with the children. Make sure the children are checked in and out by parents. Nurture sharing, sportsmanship and other social
skills:
Escort the children to the playground and ball fields.
Minimum Requirements:
Must be at least 16 years old. HealthFitness approved Lifeguarding with CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and First Aid certification. Robust ability to actively lead and engage youth. Strong verbal communication
skills:
with both children and adults. Active listing

and ability to relate to and provide fun, engaging, safe activities for youth of different backgrounds. Ability to work independently, problem solve, and make decisions with limited supervision. Ability to be a positive role model for program participants.
Compensation:
