Description:
Bilingual Youth Engagement Specialist (Inspire GA) The Inspire Georgia provides temporary shelter care and case management services to unaccompanied children in the U.S. Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) custody. Under the direction of the Program Director, the Youth Engagement Specialist is responsible for assisting in the day-to-day tasks to ensure services such as religious, independent living (IL), other extracurricular activities, etc. are provided to youth are in a timely and culturally sensitive manner.

Atlanta In-Person (On Site) Sunday through Thursday; 9:00AM – 5:30PM or Tuesday through Saturday; 9:00AM – 5:30PM Annual Compensation: $45,000
Responsibilities:
Administer the Spiritual Well-Being Scale (SWBS) to all youth upon admission. Administer the Ansell-Casey Life Skills Assessment (ACLSA) to all youth 14 years old or above upon admission.
- Coordinates religious, independent living, extracurricular activities, etc. as needed for each youth as identified in the SWBS, ACLSA or by any youth care team member.
- Create and manage youth religious, independent living, and/or other extra-curricular activities service plan.
- Assist in the planning and managing the logistics to ensure needed services identified in the SWBS and ACLSA are delivered in a culturally sensitive and timely manner.
Meet regularly with youth to ensure services are being delivered in a culturally sensitive and timely manner.
- Identify and network with community partners such as churches, youth centers, local park and recreation department, etc.
- Create and maintain resource directory.
- Assist with administrative tasks (printing, copying, uploading, etc.) assigned.
- Assist with weekly telephonic contacts with family of origin, primary caregiver, and/or sponsor as assigned.
- Assist with group sessions/meetings as assigned.
- Participate in weekly multidisciplinary team meetings to evaluate child progress and adjustment in the program.
- Maintain accurate and current documentation of service provision for each child in the UC Portal and internal case management database while ensuring compliance with ORR and agency documentation and reporting requirements
- Prepare and submit reports and statistical data when necessary.
- Collaborate with other team members to meet the agency’s Performance and Quality Improvement (PQI)/Quality Assurance (QA) requirements.
Complete all initial and annual training requirements.
- Performs other duties as assigned to meet program’s needs.
Qualifications:
Must have a high school diploma or GED plus two (2) years of related experience. Bachelor’s degree in the behavioral sciences, human services, or social work fields, plus one (1) year of related experience preferred. Bilingual in Spanish and English. Computer skills, i.e., Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), Extended Reach, electronic databases.
Must have the ability to communicate in a culturally competent manner. Must be sensitive to the served population's cultural and socioeconomic characteristics. Ability to work within a team and to work independently. Ability to take the initiative. Must have a personal vehicle, a valid Georgia Driver's license and have personal auto insurance and a good driving record.

Physical Demands:
Regularly required to talk and hear. Required to stand, walk, sit, use hand to finger, handle or feel objects, tools and controls: and reach with hands and arms. Required to operate personal vehicle. Employees frequently lift and or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.
