Full-Time, 10 months, Faculty Exempt Key School seeks a Student Leadership Coordinator and Outdoor
Education:
- Assistant in our Middle and Upper Schools for the 2026-2027 academic year.
This faculty member works with faculty, staff, and Middle and Upper School students to develop and support leadership opportunities. Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication
skills:
are paramount, as is the ability to collaborate effectively with both students and faculty. This employee is supervised by Division Heads at each level and works closely with the Outdoor

Role Plan and lead Outdoor

trips, along with the school’s Outdoor
Education:
Department Head, throughout the calendar year. Serve as a lead or support facilitator for approximately ten overnight trips held during the school week for Middle and Upper School students. Additionally, plan and lead several optional weekend Middle and Upper School trips. Run one summer trip each year for Middle and Upper School (paid separately from contractual duties).
Partner with the Outdoor
Education:
Department on trip preparation (e.g., gear, packing) and work with student-led components of pre-trip
experience:
s. Engage in professional development and ongoing medical training.
- Work with student peer leaders.
- Collaborate with Middle and Upper School faculty in planning and preparation for trip
experience:
s. Co-teach a “Team Building/Initiatives” curriculum with older Middle School students. Student Leadership Role Plan and execute the student-led co-curricular Activities Program across both Divisions.
- Oversee and support the Student Forum (i.e., student government) in each Division.
- Work with representatives from each grade level (7-12) to advance student-led initiatives.
- Plan events alongside student leaders and grade advisors in each Division, such as Homecoming, Advisory Challenges, Fall Field Games, Prom, and Middle School dances, to support building community and fostering student leadership.
Teach a leadership course in our Upper School academic curriculum, and collaborate with the Middle School faculty incorporate leadership goals in the curriculum. The Ideal Candidate Possesses the Following Characteristics: Commitment to Key School’s values Genuine appreciation for and

There are additional opportunities on campus for coaching and various stipends, as well. In addition to the salary, this position is eligible for 10 Sick Days, 2 Personal Days. Technical Competencies: All candidates for teaching positions should be familiar with learning management systems such as Seesaw and Google Classroom and have the ability to create and deliver engaging multimedia content using a variety of digital tools.
