We welcome our veterans to apply! Lakeside Book Company is looking for safety minded Temp-to-Hire Forklift Operators to join our Plainfield team. You will be responsible for maneuvering hoists to lift, lower, and transport materials safely across the warehouse. You will work closely with a dedicated team, ensuring that products are moved to their proper locations, while maintaining a safe working environment. Pay, Shift, Location, & Job Type:

Pay: $18.75/hr Shift: Monday-Friday, 7:00am-3:00pm, with overtime as needed Location: 700 Airtech Parkway, Plainfield, IN 46168 Job Type: Temp-to-hire: eligible for full time, permanent, status change following your 90-day probationary performance review.

Responsibilities:

Safely operate a hoist, turret truck, and/or stand-up forklift. Load and unload materials from trucks and other transport vehicles.

• Ensure all lifting operations comply with safety regulations and company standards.
• Conduct regular inspections of equipment to ensure they are in safe working order.
• Assist in the organization and maintenance of the warehouse inventory.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely order fulfillment and material handling.
• Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to management promptly.

Requirements:

Minimum of 6 months experience as a forklift operator required. Comfortable with heights of 20+ feet, required. Strong understanding of safety protocols and regulations in a warehouse environment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety in all operations. Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and lift up to 50lbs throughout your shift.

Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to challenges.
