We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Carrier Sales Representative to join our growing telecommunications company that is redefining the data network industry. This is a full-time exempt position that is not eligible for overtime and is paid on a bi-weekly basis. This position will be located at our Portland headquarters or one of our regional office locations (Redmond, OR; Millersburg, OR and Pasco, WA) based on the candidate's location and requires the successful candidate to be in-office a minimum of three days per week.
Job Purpose The Carrier Sales Representative is responsible for developing, managing, and growing relationships with carrier, wholesale, and strategic network partners. This role focuses on driving revenue through the sale of network services, carrier-to-carrier solutions, and strategic partnerships while acting as a primary point of contact between internal teams and external carrier customers. The position requires strong relationship management, deal coordination, and an understanding of telecom network solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build, manage, and grow relationships with carrier, wholesale, and strategic network partners
- Identify new revenue opportunities through carrier sales, network interconnections, and wholesale services
Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned carrier accounts
- Collaborate with internal teams including Sales Engineering, Network Engineering, Operations, and Finance to support carrier opportunities
- Develop and deliver pricing, proposals, and service agreements aligned with company strategy
- Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting through contract execution and handoff to operations
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of opportunities, activities, and forecasts in CRM systems
Understand network capabilities, service availability, and pricing structures to properly position solutions Negotiate commercial terms while ensuring profitability and adherence to company policies
- Participate in industry events, meetings, and partner engagements to strengthen relationships and expand market presence
- Provide market and competitive insights to sales leadership to support go-to-market strategies
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent
Experience:
3+ years of experience in telecom sales, carrier sales, wholesale sales, or related B2B sales roles
Experience working with carrier, wholesale, or network service providers preferred:
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
Skills & Abilities:
Strong relationship-building and account management skills Working knowledge of telecom services such as fiber, DIA, Ethernet, transport, and carrier interconnects Ability to manage complex sales cycles involving multiple internal and external stakeholders Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities Highly organized with strong attention to detail Ability to work independently while collaborating across teams Proficient in CRM tools (Salesforce preferred) and Microsoft Office applications Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple opportunities simultaneously
