Description:
Mount Holyoke College seeks a highly organized and collaborative Dance Academic Coordinator for a full-time (37.5 hours/week), temporary position from January to June 2026. The Coordinator is essential to the Dance Department's complex functions, providing comprehensive administrative, financial, and logistical support, and interacting regularly with key campus and Five College partners.
Key Responsibilities:
Department Operations & Administration: Serve as the primary administrative support for the Dance Department Chair and faculty, managing scheduling, departmental meetings (agendas/minutes), resources (Google Drive/Calendars), and assisting with departmental initiatives (recruiting, student communication).
- Budget Management & Financial Oversight: Oversee, track, and balance the departmental budget, including processing expenses (purchasing, reimbursements, invoices) via Workday.
- Support faculty with expense reporting.
Faculty & Guest Artist Support: Coordinate onboarding for new faculty and manage complete logistics (contracts, travel, housing, publicity) for guest artists and residencies.
- Assist with administrative support for faculty searches and reviews.
Curriculum & Scheduling: Facilitate course planning, submit schedules to the Registrar/Five College Dance, and assist with catalog edits. Student Employment & Supervision: Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise student employees (Department Assistants, Production Assistants, Photographer/Videographer).
Event Planning & Support: Provide logistical support for dance productions and events, including the annual American College Dance Association (ACDA) Conference and promoting concerts (posters, programs, front of house). Required
