Description
Ski School Administrative Support
General Purpose:
The Administration Support provides general office assistance to ensure efficient operation of the Ski and Snowboard School and the fulfilment center. This role supports managers, supervisors and customers through a variety of tasks related to organization, communication, and coordination.
This is a seasonal position from November to April. Dates are subject to change based on the availability of the applicant and needs of the business. This is a non skiing/snowboarding role but ski/snowboard breaks are possible. This role comes with a free season pass for you and your dependents. Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Sell and coordinate ski/snowboard private and group lessons
Aid guests in the understanding of various products in order to provide the best resort experience.
Obtain and maintain a comprehensive knowledge of all product offerings.
Provide a welcoming experience to customers, addressing any concerns, offering advice on mountain conditions.
Collaborate with other staff to maintain smooth operations during busy periods and provide backup support when needed.
Provide enthusiastic and professional attitude when talking about products
Coordinate and communicate with other departments to ensure guest satisfaction.
Perform general office duties including answering phones, responding to emails, filing, photocopying, and data entry
Maintain and update records, databases, and filing systems
Assist with purchasing supplies, processing payments, and tracking expenses
Greet visitors and provide general administrative and clerical support to the staff
Balance the cash drawer accurately at the end of each shift, documenting adjustments, refunds, and discounts.
Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
Ensure office operations run smoothly and efficiently
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Excellent guest service and communication skills.
Knowledge of resort procedures, policies, and safety protocols.
Familiarity with Purgatory Resort.
Basic knowledge of computer and cash handling skills.
Exceptional customer service skills.
Maintain an open mind and be willing to learn and adapt.
Talking to guests the entirety of the shift.
Proper phone, radio, and email etiquette
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to multitask, prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or GED is required. Must have reliable phone or internet connection. Must possess an open mind and willingness to adapt. Previous guest service experience strongly preferred. Previous Ski Resort experience is strongly preferred but not required. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
Working Environment/Physical Activities:
The vast majority of the day is spent indoors in a typical office environment. Some time will be spent outside assisting guests. 90% of the day is spent sitting and standing indoors, 10% of the day is spent outside. Occasionally exposure to loud volumes due to many guests speaking at once. This is a non skiing/snowboard position.
