Job Description
SUMMARY:
The Tennis Camp Counselor is responsible for teaching tennis camps and lessons at the Oak
Brook Park District Tennis Center. This position requires professional knowledge of tennis and
tennis teaching skills.
SUPERVISORY:
The Tennis Camp Counselor reports directly to the Superintendent of Enterprise Operations.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
Assist with teaching of Group, Private and Semi-Private lessons.
Follow the lessons curriculum and the club’s progressive training system.
Show up on time and be ready to teach lessons as assigned.
Follow the Best Practices guidelines provided by the club.
Attend Camp staff meetings and training sessions as needed.
Turn in accurate time sheets at the end of each pay period.
Communicate with the Superintendent of Enterprise Operations regularly on Tennis Center matters.
Wear appropriate attire as indicated in the Dress Code Policy.
Performs the job in a safe manner and in compliance with the District policies,
procedures, work and safety rules.
Support the District’s safety initiative including adhering to policies and procedures,
performing your job in a safe manner, attending required training, seeking additional
training as needed, promptly reporting accidents/incidents, and proactively addressing
hazards in the workplace.
Focus on welcoming diversity, encouraging inclusion and creating equity for all.
Perform any duties as assigned by the Superintendent of Enterprise Operations or Executive Director.
