The Mountain Axess Coordinator will be responsible for making sure the lift operations crew is checking tickets in a diligent, efficient way while maintaining a safe, effective flow of guests through the maze. Excellent customer service, and the ability to recognize and resolve ticket issues are essential to the job.
The Mountain Axess Coordinator will focus primarily on the maze and RFID gate areas, but will be expected to help lift operators and lift operations foremen in duties such as set-up and tear-down. Essential Functions/Major
Responsibilities:
Working with a crew of lift operators and lift operations foremen to ensure thorough, efficient ticket checking.
- Overseeing a team of lift operators regarding crowd-control and ticket checking
responsibilities:
- Establishing effective communication and teamwork with lift operations foremen.
- Training lift operators on RFID Gate and Tablet functions.
- Training lift operators on common ticket issues and ways to resolve them.
- Training lift operators in techniques for catching fraudulent passes.
- Maintaining a steady flow of customers through RFID Gates by coaching and assisting guests.
Ensuring that every guest has their ticket scanned every time they come through.
- Maintaining a safe, physically distanced, efficient flow of guests through the maze.
- Overseeing a group of lift operators performing crowd control & ticket checking duties.
Effectively handling situations involving disgruntled or frustrated guests. Escorting guests who are having ticket issues to the ticketing office. Providing outstanding customer service to our guests. Escorting possible pass fraud violations to the ticketing office. Working with Ticket office supervisors to ensure that any pass fraud is filed with the proper paperwork.
Using a radio to communicate in an effective, professional manner. Working outdoors in adverse conditions for prolonged periods of time. Understanding and demonstrating proper setup for every base area lift maze. Working with lift operations foremen and management to establish safe, effective maze areas.
- Adheres to all company safety policies and procedures, actively contributing to a safe working environment for self, coworkers, and guests.

Skills:
High school degree or equivalent. Physical Demands: Bending, reaching, climbing, pushing, pulling & prolonged standing. Eye/hand coordination & visual concentration on equipment. Concentrated reading and writing. Must be able to lift and carry items up to 50 lbs. Variation in temperature from hot to cold.
Be able to work on the mountain, which consists of being primarily outside and requires prolonged periods of standing and walking on slippery and/or uneven snow or icy surfaces. Must be able to ski or snowboard at an advanced level.
- Schedule: Non-Peak Days (M-F): 7:30am-4:30pm Peak Days (Sa/Sun/Holidays): 7:15am-4:30pm This schedule represents an average work week and is subject to change based on guest volume, operational needs, and weather conditions.
