Job Description
Position Overview As we are preparing for expansion, we are seeking an experienced Engineering Technician to provide analysis of various engineering data provided by REI Utility Services field staff, customers, and/or third-party contractors (e.g. TxDOT, etc). This role is responsible for processing of engineering data through various software and established engineering procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Communication with various data providers and customers
- Analyze provided data for validity for the requested output
Request additional data as required to complete the most accurate results
- Process data as per the requested output
- Provide quality assurance review of output of analysis to assure accuracy
Communication with leadership when results are not as expected
- Provide process improvement recommendations as deemed appropriate.
Qualifications:
Required:
High School Diploma 1 year of Electric utility design experience
Experience in engineering software such as PLS-CADD, Neara, ESRI, Trimble, GIS, and other relevant applications:
Knowledge of RUS design standards and materials Familiarity of industry standards, including NESC, IEEE, and ANSI Excellent communication and leadership skills.
