Current Opportunity: Senior Accountant We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to lead and elevate our accounting operations. The Senior Accountant's responsibilities include preparing financial reports, reconciling accounts, maintaining the general ledger, assisting with audit preparations, and performing other accounting duties as assigned. Candidates should have a solid working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and strong financial analysis skills.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a hands-on accounting environment, is detail-oriented, and can balance transactional responsibilities with management reporting. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in financial stewardship, process improvement, and cross-functional collaboration.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead the monthly close process: prepare and post journal entries, calculate accruals, reconcile accounts, ensure accuracy of financial statements.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations.
Produce monthly management reporting packs (including revenue flash, EBITDA flash, variance analysis, and consolidated reporting).
- Assist with the preparation of audit support.
- Prepare and deliver weekly reporting, including a rolling 13-week cash flow forecast.
Generate customer invoices in accordance with contracts.
- Perform collections activities and follow up with customers to resolve overdue accounts.
- Process vendor invoices (entry, coding, approvals, payment processing).
- Maintain AP aging, resolve discrepancies, and manage vendor relationships.
- Ensure timely and accurate disbursements.
- Support ERP/financial systems enhancements and upgrades.
Administer the expense card program (Concur/Amex), ensuring compliance with company policy.
- Support sales tax compliance in collaboration with the Director of Tax.
- Handle ad hoc accounting issues, special projects, and occasional audit/tax requests.
- Implement process improvements to streamline accounting operations.
- Support the customer support team (as needed) with order entry and customer issues.
Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred but not required). 3+ years of accounting experience Proficiency with ERP systems (Expandable, JDE or similar is a plus) and Excel. Detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable managing both transactional tasks and higher-level reporting.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
