Job Description
Position Description: Camp Counselors work with the Pre-College Programs Departments in supervising campers enrolled in our residential and day summer camp programs. The successful counselor will be compassionate, vigilant, helpful, and inspirational to the young women attending camps.
Position Duties:
Responsible each week for the supervision and safety of 10 campers, ages 9-14 in the residence hall, during guest performances, and at all day/evening activities.
- Assist assigned instructor with (3) 75- minute classes and (1) 90-minute class per day (Monday-Thursday) and rehearsal & performance for performance forum (Friday)
- Responsible for assisting directors with organized activities, talent shows, and guest performances.
- Responsible for assisting at registration, orientation, and departure each week.
Serve as a role model for young adults. Required attendance at counselor training. Required to reside and stay on campus during camp session.
- Responsible for supervision of campers at resident hall during the daytime hours.
Minimum Qualifications: Mature college-aged students. Preferred Qualifications: Previous Camp experience helpful. Experience in supervising youth ages 9-14. Prior experience working with diverse ability groups.
