Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The Line Lead/Machine Operator’s job is to give direction to the line workers and run the line at an efficient pace to reach target KPI’s.
- Assist Supervisor in managing the meat needs for the production lines
- Communicate with all other workers on your assigned line so everyone knows the plan and can work together to reach the goals set for the team.
- Operate your machine at the set target speeds and inform your supervisor of any issues that are preventing you from running at the target speeds to achieve departmental KPI’s
- Complete all required paperwork for your assigned line.
- Communicate with your assigned supervisor whenever an issue arises to figure out a solution, and then communicate the new solution to the entire team.
- Make sure all employees on your assigned line are following all company policies and procedures. Coach employees that are not following the company policies and procedures, and let your supervisor know of any on-going issues.
- Flow to work – assist any employees on your line that need help or are having issues.
- Help with whatever work is necessary to keep your line operating.
- May be moved to other lines as work load requires
- Complies with all Company and Federal Policies, Procedures and Regulations
- Must be conscious of the safety of his/her self and the team
- Must also perform the daily, weekly, and monthly required machine checklist on machines that apply (See production line machine checklist)
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including public speaking
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude
- Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
- Ability to work as part of a team to complete tasks and reach the targets set for the team
- High school diploma or GED required
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
- Ability to lift and move up to 60 pounds.

Production Machine Check List- (English Version)
V-MAG:
Steps-close hopper and install horn on machine to satisfy safety system.
set machine to program 00.
activate knee lever, machine will run very slow.
slide grease gun tip on button fitting to left of horn.
slowly pump grease until clean grease comes out of vent hole to grease the fitting
wipe off excess grease.
Frequency-This should be done every day before startup.
Production Line Conveyor bearings
Steps-2 pumps of industrial bearing grease should be pumped into all shaft bearings,
wipe off excess grease.
Frequency-every other day
Dumpers
Steps-
- All pivot points that have grease fittings should have 2 pumps of industrial bearing grease put into them, wipe off excess grease.
- Spray chain lube on lift chains.
Frequency-every other day
Ross Machine-Retail Line
Steps-
- Apply 2 pumps of industrial bearing grease in all lift station bearings, wipe off excess grease.
- Wipe gripper arm shafts clean and apply a light coating of mineral oil.
Frequency-daily
SC260 (smart conveyor)-Retail Line
Steps-On the fitting next to the retracting shaft apply 2 pumps of industrial grease, wipe off excess grease.
Frequency-daily
Denester
Steps-Apply 2 pumps industrial bearing grease to all fittings, wipe off excess grease.
