Day Camp Counselor This position starts on Thursday, May 21, 2026, and ends on Friday, August 5, 2026.

    Applicants must be full available for the entire duration of the season to be considered. Basic

    Requirements:

    At least 18 years old. One (1) year of college

    experience:

    preferred. At least six (6) months of prior

    experience:

    working in childcare or similar fields. Good oral and written communication

    skills:

    Strong leadership qualities are a must Able to work indoors and outdoors, in varying weather, to include extreme heat. Position engages in extensive walking and standing, and long hours managing children. Tasks may also include bending; some overhead reaching and use of hands. Valid Driver's License with a good driving record and proof of insurance.

    Able to meet company driving guidelines. Must be able to push, pull, lift to 50 pounds, occasionally carrying items between floors First Aid/CPR/AED certification preferred Job

    Responsibilities:

    Enthusiastically represent Busch Gardens by displaying a positive attitude and commitment to quality throughout all aspects of the job.

    • Maintain professional quality standards by utilizing excellent communication and guest service

    skills:

    (both oral and written).

    • Facilitate Summer Camp curriculum, including activities and crafts, for camper's 1st through 12th Grade.
    • Maintain camper-to-staff ratios to ensure safety of all participants and staff.
    • Assist with operational logistics, such as camp set-up, check in, seat saving, and camp breakdown.
    • Provide guidance to campers by keeping them on task and behaving appropriately Facilitate interactions between campers and park staff Organize, prepare, and maintain program materials.
    • Maintain cleanliness of designated camp areas.
    • Perform as a role model for younger students by displaying team spirit and enthusiasm throughout the summer program.
    • Adhere to Company standards on wardrobe, conduct, safety, cleanliness, and timeliness Perform other duties as assigned.
