We are seeking 12 highly compassionate, energetic, and dedicated Camp Counselors for our inaugural summer (June 1 – August 21, 2026). - Guide your group through a predictable daily schedule that includes STEM, art, gross motor play, and sensory breaks.
- Utilize a differentiated engagement model to ensure every camper can participate at their own pace and ability level.
- Uphold camp rules with integrity and discipline, ensuring the physical and emotional safety of every child at all times.
- Be silly, playful, and enthusiastic — lead camp songs, wear costumes for the weekly theme, and make sure kids are having the time of their lives.
- Implement positive behavior strategies, visual schedules, and sensory integration techniques as trained.
- Work collaboratively with fellow counselors, camp leadership, and specialized staff to support the needs of the group.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
- Prior experience working with children.
- Strong communication skills, patience, adaptability, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Ability to balance being highly organized and disciplined with being silly and playful.
- Must pass a comprehensive background check prior to employment.
- Must be able to commit to the full summer schedule (June 1 – August 21, 2026), or specified weeks as agreed upon.
Preferred:
- Experience working with children with special needs (Autism, ADHD, Down Syndrome, etc.).
- Currently a student enrolled in or holding a degree in Special Education, Early Childhood Education, Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Speech-Language Pathology, or a related field.
