    The Summer Camp Instructor is responsible for using provided materials to plan, teach, and coordinate day camp for a specific age group. This includes carrying out plans and leads themed camps with support from a summer team. Primary Responsibilities

    • Maintain high standards of health and safety in all activities for campers and staff.
    • Assist or lead in the direction, supervision, and organization of campers within activities and throughout the camp in order to meet the intended camper outcomes.
    • Participate in the development and implementation of program activities for campers within the mission and outcomes.

    Be a role model to campers and staff in your attitude and behavior. Represent the camp when interacting with parents or community members. Employment Qualifications Must be at least 18 years of age. Must have experience working with children. Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

    Must be enthusiastic, responsible, and reliable. Must be able to work in a team environment. Must be able to pass a criminal background check and a child abuse clearance check.

    Education and Experience:

    High school diploma or equivalent Previous experience working with children in a camp or similar setting preferred. Ability to work well in a team environment Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to multitask and adapt to changing situations CPR and First Aid certification (preferred, but not required)

    Must be able to stand, walk, and run for extended periods of time. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. In general, this position requires an individual to frequently walk, stand, sit, squat, stoop, reach, kneel, rise from the floor, twist, listen, read, write, and speak the English language. In addition, this position often requires an individual to carry, lift, use repetitive or fine hand movements, and occasionally push, pull, or bend. This position is regularly required to hear and use clear vision with or without correction.
