    Description:

    of Work Clinical Nurse Managers are responsible for one or more defined patient care areas of organized nursing services (24 hours a day) and are supervised by the Unit Nurse Director/Associate Chief Nursing Officer or Chief Nursing Officer. They coordinate activities and provide clinical oversight of professional, vocational nurses, Healthcare Technicians and clerical staff assigned at the unit level.

This Position Is Exempt And Is EXEMPT From Certain Provisions Of The State Human Resources Act (GS 126) This Position Is Designated As Mandatory And Must Report Or Stay Over During Adverse Weather Events. This is a full-time position and eligible for the full State

Normal work hours are 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Monday – Friday, exempt position with 24-hour responsibility in the efficient and effective delivery of quality nursing services to patients and staff. The Child and Adolescent Unit (CAU) serves two age groups: D0 (Ages 5 to 11, coed group), and E0/F0 (Ages 12 to 18, coed group).

    This position will supervise the E0/F0 unit. Many of the patients have a history of abuse, neglect and in need of home placement. Other presentations: ADHD, PTSD, depression, school failure, poor social

    skills:

    , and delayed language. CAU provides patient care through a collaborative and proactive approach, while focusing on skill building. CAU operates from the model of, "Kids do well if they can." A typical day on CAU includes school and clinical groups Monday through Friday in the CAU mall area, evening and weekends are packed with structured leisure time.
