Job Description
Position Summary
The intern will provide assistance in the recreation, flood risk management, and environmental stewardship missions. Intern will be involved with prairie maintenance and restoration, fish rearing ponds, invasive species control, volunteer programs, light grounds maintenance of parks, campground management,
contract inspections, boundary maintenance and interpretive events.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist with volunteer program
- Perform light maintenance duties as needed
- Inspections of trails, playgrounds and custodial work
- Quality assurance on service contracts
Marginal Duties
- Campground management and reservation system
Required Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years of age.
- Must possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license.
- Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Must have the ability to effectively speak, read, and write in English.
- Must have the ability to work outdoors and lift up to 40 pounds.
- Must wear SCA provided attire while on duty.
Preferred Qualifications:
- GIS experience
- Familiarity with natural resources
Hours
40 per week
Living Accommodations
Housing is not provided for this position.
Compensation:
$450 - weekly living allowance; $800 – monthly housing allowance; $75 – weekly commuting allowance
All allowances are subject to applicable federal, state, and local taxes.
