USNH Employees should apply within Workday through the Jobs Hub app Assistant coaches' role is in support of the program with their assigned event groups(s) and general day-to-day operations of the team. Duties/
Responsibilities:
Attend practices, training sessions, team meetings, and contests (home and away), as determined by the Head Coach.
- Assist the HC, AHC, EC with administrative duties and program oversight as directed.
- Implement and evaluate Event Coach training programs for their specific event group(s).
- Assist with all phases of daily practice sessions.
- Analyze individual and event group performances and suggest adjust training plans for optimal results.
- Provide technique instruction, race strategies, and mental preparation for competitions.
- Assist with evaluating and recruiting student-athletes (high school and transfer athletes) in accordance with the NCAA, Little East, and Plymouth State University policies and procedures.
Including communicating with prospective athletes, families, and high school coaches to build relationships and on-campus recruiting visits and showcase program

- Build strong relationships with student-athletes to provide general advising, mentoring and support, and work to ensure their academic progress and ongoing eligibility, in keeping the University’s mission and values in mind.
- Assist with fundraising activities and help promote strong parent, alumni, and community relations and assist in team promotion through social media.
- Execute all of these
responsibilities:
as an Assistant Coach in a manner that reflects an ongoing commitment to the excellence, integrity and success of the Track & Field program, of the Department of Athletics, and Plymouth State University.
- Follow all NCAA, Little East, New England Division 3, institution and department rules, regulations and policies.
Other Duties as assigned by the Head Coach of Track & Field. Please note that in the fall Assistant Coaches may also support cross-country operations. Minimum Acceptable

Competed in collegiate Track and Field Required Licenses & Certifications: Valid driver’s license
Preferred Qualifications:
