JOB TITLE:
Project Manager, COIFPM
JOB PURPOSE:
The Project Manager, COIFPM, oversees and coordinates the operational, financial, and reporting activities of the Wyoming Gas Injection Initiative. This role supports project execution, compliance, outreach, and strategic planning across a diverse range of stakeholders, including industry partners, state and federal agencies, and academic collaborators.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborate with research and administrative staff to ensure alignment with project goals, adherence to timelines, and compliance with applicable requirements.
- Prepare and submit internal and external progress reports, incorporating technical summaries, financial updates, and key performance metrics.
- Ensure timely and accurate submission of required grant and subaward documentation in accordance with sponsor and institutional guidelines.
- Support the development and management of project budgets; monitor expenditures against allocations and coordinate invoicing and reimbursements, with a focus on operator and subrecipient payments.
Serve as the primary liaison with external stakeholders—including funding agencies, operators, and subawardees—to coordinate reporting, ensure compliance, and support collaborative efforts.
- Plan and manage outreach and stakeholder engagement events—including meetings, conferences, and site visits—handling all aspects of event planning such as agenda development, speaker coordination, logistics, and marketing.
- Coordinate public relations and communication efforts for the initiative in alignment with COIFPM’s broader visibility goals; assist in developing promotional materials, newsletters, and online content.
- Assist with the hiring, onboarding, and training of project staff, students, and contractors to support effective team integration and performance.
- Contribute to institutional planning efforts by engaging in strategic discussions, evaluations, and initiative assessments.
SUPPLEMENTAL FUNCTIONS:
Serve on University committees and perform other duties as assigned. May act as liaison to departments and campus administration. Attend and participate in training and other professional development activities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in a related field EXPERIENCE: 5 years of related work experience to include project coordination, grant management, reporting or financial oversight
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience in sponsored project award finance and management.:
Strong oral and written communication skills Strong problem-solving skills and ability to lead continuous improvement initiatives.
Experience managing multiple projects; proven ability to analyze budgets and expenditures ensuring compliance with fiscal policies, accountability, reporting, and funding requirements.:
Experience in authoring original reports, documents, and presentations; coordinating deadlines and prioritizing competing demands.:
Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate well with others.
Experience interacting with diverse populations at all levels of an organization while maintaining confidentiality and flexibility.:
