Veterinary Student Externship
About the hospital: Ridgewood Animal Hospital located in Forest, VA on the outskirts of Lynchburg, Virginia is looking for a Veterinary extern to join our team!:
Ridgewood Animal Hospital is a full-service veterinary clinic for household pets, proudly serving Forest, Lynchburg, Bedford & surrounding areas. Since its inception in 1978, Ridgewood has been known for offering superior care to the residents of this region. We offer wellness care and vaccinations, diagnostic work-up of complex medical cases, chemotherapy, routine surgeries such as spaying & neutering as well as more complex soft tissue / orthopedic procedures. Our highly skilled veterinary staff focuses on Fear Free patient care, comprehensive pain management and employing the most current medical / surgical techniques.:

- Work with a team of 8 highly skilled LVTs with experience in training senior veterinary students at the VMRCVM
Clinic performs laparoscopic biopsy and surgery, endoscopy, and arthroscopy Fully equipped with in-house lab capabilities, digital x-ray, ultrasound and therapeutic laser Excellent culture, collaborative environment, and low turnover
- Mentorship from multiple strong veterinarians who are excited to welcome passionate - motivated students
Our team has strong clinical skills in the areas of emergency medicine, wellness and dentistry Gain experience with complex soft tissue and orthopedic surgeries
