A day in the life of a Associate Product Manager for Global Collabs and Energy at The North Face looks a little like this. You will work alongside the Senior Manager within the Collaborations and Energy team sitting at the intersection of product, culture, and commerce.
In this role, you will drive assortment planning, distribution strategy, and partnership success across global markets. You will report to the Senior Merchandising Manager Product, Collabs & Energy. Let’s break down that day-in-the-life a bit more.
- Develop and manage pre-season and in-season department and channel-level financial plans to achieve or exceed financial goals.
- Manage the Open to Buy (OTB) process and reports, accurately forecasting sales, gross margin, receipts, and inventory.
- Analyze historical data and current trends to identify business risks and opportunities, recommending strategies to achieve financial objectives.
- Collaborate with the Planning team to ensure product distribution strategies align with financial targets and optimal inventory levels across all channels.
- Drives Global assortment plans for assigned projects/category and reconciles line plan with regional merchandising financial plans at key milestones, to ensure alignment.
- Support the Sr. Manager in achieving margin targets for assigned projects and the overall category through strong operational execution and analytical thinking
- Drives cross-functional collaboration with Design and Development teams during the creation process to deliver high quality product that aligns with market demands, consumer expectations, and brand authenticity.
Leverage deep
experience:
in apparel merchandising while collaborating across business-driving functions—including Product Management, Design, and Product Development—to ensure cohesive product strategies.
- Demonstrate awareness of adjacent categories such as Equipment, Accessories, and Footwear to support holistic brand vision.
Proactively drive ongoing communication with Regional Merchandising and Planning partners throughout the GTM process, ensuring a seamless flow of key information and alignment on assortment, financial targets, and distribution strategies.
- Leads pods with Design and Development partners and owns all Product decisions during the creation process.
- Participates in the cross-functional GTM workstream outside of the Product creation process, ensuring seasonal Product category vision is brought to life in-store and online with Planning, Brand, and sourcing partners.
