Job Description
We’re looking for energetic and positive individuals to help supervise student groups during our WSU Tech STEM summer camps this July at the National Center for Aviation Training (NCAT). These camps engage elementary and middle school students in hands-on STEM activities that spark curiosity and creativity.
Teachers will lead groups of campers between activities, provide general supervision, encourage teamwork, and help keep the schedule running smoothly. Activity instruction will be led by WSU Tech staff & Teachers—your role is to support students, maintain engagement, and ensure a safe, organized environment throughout the day.
Camp schedule:
Week 1 Grit & Gears (3rd–5th grade) – Tuesday, July 14 Girls Rock Science (3rd–5th grade) – Wednesday & Thursday, July 15–16 Week 2 Grit & Gears (6th–8th grade) – Tuesday, July 21 Girls Rock Science (6th–8th grade) – Wednesday & Thursday, July 22–23 Location: National Center for Aviation Training; 4004 N Webb Rd, Wichita KS 67226
Time: 8:15 AM – 4:15 PM Compensation: $180 per day per person
Requirements:
Minimum of 1 year experience working as a teacher or para-educator, or currently a college junior or senior pursuing a degree in education. Must be able to pass a background check prior to camp participation. Must be able to work 1 full week of camp. 1099/Contract only position
