The Oasis at Death Valley is situated in a lush, spring-fed desert oasis, surrounded by the vast and arid desert of Death Valley National Park. The Oasis operates the historic AAA Four Diamond Inn and Ranch, restaurants, gift shops, and the world's lowest elevation golf course. Both hotels are open year-round and feature swimming pools fed by naturally warm local springs.

We’re hiring a Retail Warehouse/Cooler Associate to Live. Work. Explore. in Death Valley National Park!

Job Summary:

Duties include stocking the coolers, straightening and taking inventory of merchandise and returns, selling goods, attending to customers on the selling floor.

The Details:

Position Type: Full-Time, Year-Round or Seasonal Season Dates: As soon as possible on next available check in date (approximately three weeks) Pay: $17.20/hr

• Schedule: Typical schedule is 40 hours, 5 days per week (may include weekends, evenings, and holidays)

Responsibilities:

Becomes fully qualified as register operator in regards to all retail transactions.

• Maintains an accurate bank.
• Assists all customers in a courteous and knowledgeable manner.

Keeps designated work areas neat, clean, and properly stocked.

Qualifications:

Strong mathematical skills. Excellent customer service skills. Have a neat and clean appearance. Must be available to work all shifts and weekends. Must have a Valid Driver’s License and a clean driving record. Must possess or obtain a California Food Handler’s Card within 30 days of hire. On-site training is available.

Physical Requirements include:

Physically able to work standing for eight hours, and must have the endurance to function in a fast-paced and high-stress environment. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. up to shoulder height. Must be able to withstand working in extreme outdoor summer temperatures. Frequently required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, bend, twist, reach, and grasp.

Will be required to work in a refrigerated walk-in cooler with temperatures between 35-45 degrees. We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
