We're hiring Snowcoach Drivers/Guides at Old Faithful Snow Lodge and Gardiner, MT. Experience the "secret season" of Yellowstone – an unforgettable winter adventure awaits!
Job Summary:
This multifaceted role combines tour guiding, driving, and equipment operation in all weather conditions. The position requires extensive knowledge of the park, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to safely operate and maintain vehicles. Candidates must be flexible, professional, and able to work long hours in challenging outdoor environments while representing the company positively.
The Details:
Position Type: Seasonal
Season Dates: December 2025 - March 2026
Pay: $15.75/hour
Schedule: Typical schedule is 40 hours, 5 days/per week (may include weekends, evenings, and holidays)

Responsibilities
Safely operate wheeled and tracked company vehicles in all weather conditions, including up to 10 hours of driving on rough or icy roads
Maintain professionalism and provide courteous guest service while working outdoors, including during extreme weather and vehicle breakdowns
Perform daily vehicle service tasks: refueling, adding fluids, cleaning, and minor mechanical repairs for company and private vehicles
Load and unload luggage and ski equipment; operate vehicles for tours and other operational needs
Deliver knowledgeable, accurate interpretive commentary on Yellowstone National Park’s natural, cultural, and geologic features
Ensure punctuality by keeping tours on schedule and promptly completing all required reports and documentation
Represent the company positively with a clean, neat appearance in the prescribed uniform and maintain safe work practices at all times
Frequently stay overnight at various facilities inside and outside Yellowstone National Park and perform other duties as assigned, including Winter Dispatch Office Assistant responsibilities when needed
Qualifications
Must be at least 21 years of age and possess a valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record
Must possess current 1st Aid/CPR certifications (training provided if needed)
Winter driving skills with a good driving record
Able to communicate effectively through speech and hearing
Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues within designated time lines
Good reading and comprehension skills to research tour information relating to Park history and features
Able to organize information about Yellowstone Park into an interpretive thematic tour
Knowledge of National Park Service, Company and Departmental policies and procedures
Physical Requirements include:
Must meet all DOT physical requirements and be able to pass a DOT physical exam
Able to bend, twist and lift up to 50lbs simultaneously and repeatedly
Able to withstand up to 12 or more hours consecutive driving on rough and/or icy roads
Able to work outdoors in variable weather (including rain, sleet, snow, direct sunlight, high winds, and temperatures ranging from -60 degrees to +50 degrees Fahrenheit)
Ability to operate company vehicles at an expert level with full use of both hands and feet
Able to walk up to a mile several times each day at elevations ranging from 5,300 feet to 10,500 feet above sea level
Ability to sit for extended periods of time
