Daily functions include leading a group of assigned children through a scheduled plan of activities while providing a safe, friendly and nurturing environment. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES To supervise and interact appropriately with all children in the program according to prescribed YMCA standards. Ensuring the care, safety, and wellbeing of all children in the group. To plan, implement and participate in all scheduled activities including, but not limited to sports, games, crafts, etc. To complete all required documentation for the program including incident reports, documentation, and parent notifications

Preventing incidents of child abuse, identifying incidents of abuse, and responding properly when they occur by reporting to a supervisor and providing documentation. Participating in weekly staff meetings and ongoing training as necessary. Providing REMARKABLE customer service to participants, co-workers, supervisors, parents and all other community members.

Completing all housekeeping tasks as assigned, promoting the healthy image of the YMCA.

• Assist in the annual campaign for the YMCA.
• Maintain a positive and cheerful attitude with staff, parents and children.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Must be at least 18 years of age. CPR and First Aid required within 30 days of employment Foster positive staff, parent and child relations.

Ability to multi-task, take proactive actions, improvise and react quickly. Ability to supervise a group of children in a safe and friendly manner. Must be able to pass a criminal background check and obtain authorization to work with children under the Georgia Department of Labor and YMCA guidelines CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS CPR and First Aid required before working directly with children.
